*WORKSHOP TICKETS SOLD OUT (8 — 9PM), PANEL DISCUSSION STILL OPEN TO ALL (6:30 — 8PM)*
Spurring inequality, declining living standards, populist backlashes, climate change– these are the defining issues of our time. Yet they carry one loud and clear message: rethinking capitalism is more urgent than ever before. Modern economies have looked profoundly dysfunctional in recent decades. This presents us with a once-in-a-generation opportunity to redefine capitalism. The question is: how do we achieve collective prosperity in the 21st century?
Following a series of annual public events, The Buchanan Institute, Prosper Social Finance, FreshSight Ltd., and Economics for Change Society are joining forces to tackle this very question. As four student-led organisation, we believe this to be one of the most important conversations of our day and one our generation must do far more to champion. The evening will be comprised of an animated panel discussion regarding what change is needed to bring about an economy fit for the 21st century. The panel will then be followed by interactive workshops that will aim to create dynamic conversations surrounding the solutions to some of these problem. We hope the evening will engage participants in the ideas to turn sustainable and inclusive growth into a reality.
This event is open to the public and free.
