Burning Gates are back in the UK to promote their new album 'New Moon', their first since 2001! Together with Red Sun Revival as part of a small number of UK gigs. Joining this formidable duo for this Edinburgh date will be two of Scotlands' finest in Gothzilla and Freak Show.
BURNING GATES: following an epic twentieth anniversary reunion tour back in 2016, these staples of the mainland festival scene (and many a compilation appearance) are back in force, blowing away the Sacrosanct audience last year. With a formidable back catalogue and a nice line in occasional covers, they play powerful gothic rock with influences from post-punk and the late-eighties goth rock. https://facebook.com/Burning.Gates
RED SUN REVIVAL’s sound is defined by sonorous vocals from mainman Rob Leydon (Voices of Masada, Adoration, Last July) with intricate, often sparkly guitars which float over driving bass lines and weave amongst haunting violin harmonies, and the drums of goth legend Simon Rippin (Nefilim/NFD/The Eden House/Grooving in Green/etc). https://facebook.com/RedSunRevival/
GOTHZILLA have been steadily carving a name for themselves over the last couple of years since the release of second album «The Dark Is Rising» with appearances at Breaking Bands 2017, Goth City 2017 and Day of the Goths 2018 as well as a very well received set opening for Chameleons Vox when they last played Edinburgh. 2019 is set to be a busy year for the band with the release of their third album and appearances at Darker Days and Rock Off Fibro already booked. Classic goth rock influences with a modern twist.
FREAK SHOW only formed in April 2017 but have taken stride after stride since their first show in September 2017, supporting bands such as The Creepshow, Death Remains, Neshiima, Chasing Dragons and Sinnergod. https://facebook.com/freakshowscotland
