IBD Home Brew Competition 2019

The IBD Scottish Section Young Members welcome you and your beer to enter this yearly, exciting competition. The home brew competition is an excellent opportunity for both experienced and non-experienced brewers alike. The beers entered receive full feedback from industry professionals and qualified beer judges on how their beer was perceived.

If you love beer but aren't keen to brew your own we invite you to attend the exhibition portion of the day. Come along to the tap room and sample some of the best homebrew in Scotland. You can even try your hand at judging with the opportunity to vote for the peoples choice award after tasting all the beers. Then celebrate with the champions at the awards ceremony towards the end of the event.

Prizes are as follows:
Best of Show – The winning beer will be brewed at Campervan Brewing available for sale in keg/cask, and bottle or can.
Runner-up – The winning beer will be brewed at Williams Bros. Brewing Co. available for sale in keg/cask.
People’s Choice Award – Stewart Brewing.
Best in Category Prizes – £50 vouchers to the Brewstore.

-All contestants must be over 18 years old to enter the competition.
-Teams of up to three people may enter.
-One of the participant brewers will be held responsible for signing the present document.
-All recipes brewed must be original.
-This is competition, follows the 2015 BJCP Beer Style Guidelines found at http://bjcp.org/docs/2015_Guidelines_Beer.pdf
-Exclusively these guidelines will be used for the competition.
-Beers will be judged and scored on the style chosen by the participant(s).
