:: About the Tour
Get your walking boots ready and join the IESS on a trip to Pitlochry. Situated on the River Tummel and described by Queen Victoria as “one of the most elegant holiday resorts in Europe”, Pitlochry is a popular tourist destination known as a centre for hillwalking and is surrounded by stunning mountains.
The nearby Hermitage Walk offers excellent views of Scottish nature and forestry. The walk includes seeing spectacular waterfalls and some of the tallest trees in Britain, and also includes Ossian’s Cave for those intrigued by mysterious spaces.
The trip includes a tour of Blair Athol Distillery, one of the oldest working distilleries in Scotland. Producing whiskey used by Bell’s, this distillery produces some of the finest malt whiskeys in Scotland.

Refunds will be in the original form of payment or cheque payment.
Unless specifically stated on registration materials, cancellations are ineligible for refunds. Registrants may be able to transfer their ticket(s) to others, contingent on the approval of a IESS representative. Registrants must notify IESS of any wish to transfer their ticket(s). Tickets may not be transferred to non-members, unless specifically authorised. IESS may refuse to transfer any tickets at its discretion.
