The Mumpreneur Revolution is pleased to present Edinburgh's first child friendly Co-Working Event for Mumpreneurs and Mums in Business.
As a mum who is running your own business — you have limited time to get stuff done.
Everything seems to be a stolen moment here and there and seldom any clearly defined (uninterrupted) time where you can focus on growing your business.
When you do get some time to yourself (have you ever noticed that this time feels like you're on the run from something and will soon get caught?) you often procrastinate and with a to do list as long as your harm you don’t know where to start. Nothing you do will make a massive impact anyway.
So, you venture into the world of soft play and think you will let them play and get world done — it sounds wonderful in throes except the soft play is either too packed for comfort with food all over the floor and kids screaming or you have to entertain them at all times (with an 11 month old — I feel your pain).
Throw in the feeling of guilt as the mums sit and drink their coffee while you will your child away so you can work and — GETTING WORK DONE AS A MUMPRENEUR IS BLOODY DIFFICULT. For some, it is impossible.
This is why we are creating a ‘POP UP CO-WORKING FOR MUMPRENEURS’
Exclusive use of a play cafe. This means only children of those attending the co working space will use the soft play and there will be a full table each for you to sit at and get work done.
A qualified child care professional overseeing the play. You want to know your kids are safe but they just want to discover the play cafe and have fun. You are still in the cafe but there is someone whose life’s passion is to take care of children watching over them and will let you know if they need you.
A sales and business strategist there to answer any questions you have about what you should be focusing on to grow your business.
An opportunity to network with other mumpreneurs also in the same situation and focusing on growing their business.
All for what it would cost to pay for your child into a busy softplay and buy them a drink (but not you).
It will be fun, laid back and productive
*Limited places available.
Ps: The numbers have been carefully calculated to ensure there are 3 childcare professionals on hand to oversee the play and ensure the children are happy.
