Are you a small registered charity looking to get started on fundraising and sponsorship? Perhaps you have a research project you'd like to fudraise for or are looking for the money to host an event?

This Arts & Business Scotland training event (delivered for the Edinburgh Shoreline project) will draw upon some of the entrepreneurial fundraising training courses it delivers with a particular emphasis on attracting a business to nurturing and developing long lasting business partnerships. It will look at what makes people give, how to make your case for support stronger and more compelling when approaching potential funders / sponsors and how to engage with and bring on board support from businesses.

The course will explore the following:

The definition of sponsorship versus creative partnerships

The reasons why businesses sponsor the arts and heritage

How to identify potential businesses

Understanding what businesses need from their sponsorships

How to build strong creative partnerships

True stories showing the power of business and cultural partnerships gathered from Arts & Business Scotland match funding programmes

The Culture & Business Fund Scotland managed by Arts & Business Scotland providing £ for £ match funding to arts, heritage and business partnerships of all sizes across Scotland.

Delivered by Carl Watt, Head of Programmes, Arts & Business Scotland.
